2005. INTERFERENCE

Developed at the Canadian Film Centre Media Lab in Toronto, Canada.

The Idea was to navigate video on a 3d interface so that the editing-narrative choices where enacted by the viewer instead of just choosing a simple choice. Here the viewer has to immerse himself on the setting and character actions in order to chance the outcome of the movie.
In this project I had the opportunity to explore video affordances in a 3d enviroment. We where lucky enough t o be virtool 3.5 beta testers. One of the features of this version was the capacity of running videos as textures.

The viewer path in the 3d environment triggers which row of videos are played. This was my first experience of freedom from the TimeLine.
